A space which belongs to you...

Welcome to Happy Dayz – Your Local Wellbeing Community

Happy Dayz has become a much-loved part of our community, providing a welcoming space where people can come together, make friends, enjoy activities and support one another.

Over the past year, members have enjoyed a wide range of activities including quizzes, bingo, arts and crafts, guest speakers, wellbeing sessions, seasonal celebrations and community outings. More importantly, the group has helped people build meaningful friendships, reduce feelings of loneliness and become more connected to their local community.

The atmosphere at Happy Dayz is always warm and welcoming, with plenty of laughter, conversation and a strong sense of belonging. New members regularly tell us how much they enjoy the group and how quickly they feel part of the Happy Dayz family.

We are incredibly grateful to Llanharan Community Council for their continued support of the group. Their funding has helped us keep costs low and affordable for local residents, ensuring that everyone can access activities that promote wellbeing, friendship and community connection.

We are also delighted to have recently introduced Seated Yoga as part of our adult wellbeing programme. The sessions have been extremely popular, attracting both existing group members and new faces from the community. Seated Yoga offers a gentle form of exercise suitable for all abilities, helping to improve flexibility, balance, mobility and overall wellbeing.

The sessions are delivered in a relaxed and supportive environment, allowing participants to move at their own pace while enjoying the social benefits of exercising together. Following the class, many participants stay for a cuppa and chat, helping to strengthen friendships and community connections.

Whether you're looking to improve your wellbeing, meet new people or simply enjoy some time for yourself, both Happy Dayz and Seated Yoga offer a friendly welcome to everyone.

What our group say...

Anon

This group has been a life saver for me. It took me out of my comfort zone to begin with, but the people and staff in the centre are so welcoming, LCDP has now become my comfort zone.

Before, I would never have gone anywhere on my own. Now, I look forward to coming down even if I don't know who will be there. I also pop in for a cuppa on the off chance I might see someone I know even when sessions aren't on, because the centre is always open and the cafe is open every day now so I can come for a cuppa and not worry about putting my heating on till later :-)

I absolutely love going to LCPD because everyone is so friendly and they make me feel welcome. I feel wanted and loved there and if I have a problem, there is always someone I can talk to. It's been the best thing ever going to Happy Dayz for my mental health, it makes me want to get out of bed in the mornings.

Before I went to Happy Dayz, I was in a really bad place with my mental health, I couldn't do things that I used to enjoy, now I am doing the things that I love. i have grown confidence. What a fab lace it is, the people, activities and everything. I am so lucky to have found this lovely friendly place. i have made such lovely friends who help me when I am struggling. The best thing about Happy Dayz is EVERYTHING!

Sitting here today, and giving me your time to listen, was worth more than money could pay for. Thank you so much, your support is a life line sometimes.

Anon

Sometimes I come here to forget about how I feel. I don't need to be reminded about my problems, a distraction is sometimes all it takes.
