LCDP Community Garden
Every Saturday between 10am and 12pm, our Community Allotment welcomes volunteers of all ages to come together to grow food, learn new skills and enjoy the many benefits of spending time outdoors.
The allotment is a thriving community space where volunteers help plant, maintain and harvest a variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers throughout the year. Whether you're an experienced gardener or a complete beginner, there is always something to get involved with and plenty of friendly faces on hand to share knowledge and encouragement.
The site is designed to be welcoming for families too, with a small play area for young children, including a popular mud kitchen where little ones can explore, create and connect with nature while adults enjoy gardening and socialising.
We are incredibly proud that our Community Allotment has been awarded the Green Flag Community Award by the Keep Wales Tidy for two consecutive years. This recognition celebrates the hard work, dedication and community spirit of our volunteers who help keep the site a vibrant, well-maintained and environmentally friendly space for everyone to enjoy.
More than just a place to grow food, the allotment is a place where friendships are formed, confidence grows and wellbeing improves. Spending time outdoors, staying active and connecting with nature all contribute to better physical and mental health, making the allotment a valuable community asset.
New volunteers are always welcome, so why not come along, get your hands dirty and help us continue growing something special for the community?

Working in partnership...
Working in the community is the heart of what we do. We are so grateful for the support we have received from Brynna Allotment Association, Llanharan Community Council and Keep Wales Tidy.
Our community garden supports our early years groups, our mental health and wellbeing groups and our volunteers from our gardening club.
